Younès Rahmoun (b. 1975) lives and works in Tétouan (Morocco)
The film Khamsa (Five) is a performance based work, including the camera in the circle of the process. The artist tries to find different combinations of geometrical construction using five wooden sticks, in reference to the five branch star.
Khamsa is a work experimenting possibilities for both the formal vocabulary and the projection of the ideas is a larger context. In 2011, the artist questions the role of art in changing societies.

The second /si:n/ festival of video art & performance will take place in various venues in Bethlehem, Birzeit, Gaza, Jerusalem and Ramallah. The festival runs for seven days, from 6 - 12 June, 2011.
